Gifts and Donations from Texans who want to preserve Texas.

The Texas Historical Foundation does not accept federal or state money, so we depend on gifts, grants, and donations from individuals, corporations, and other private foundations to carry out our mission. Those gifts can come in many forms, including: appreciated properties, bequeathals, life insurance or retirement plans, stocks or other financial instruments, and planned giving arrangements.

All donations are recognized publicly in HERITAGE magazine. The Texas Historical Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all gifts are deductible according to the rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service.

While all donations to THF will help save the buildings and culture of our Lone Star past for the benefit of future generations, they may also reduce the donor’s income tax, help avoid capital gains tax, and offer other potential advantages.
